Cori Bush, a nurse and racial justice activist understands the struggles of everyday Americans. She had to quit her job at a preschool when she fell ill while pregnant with her second child in 2001. She and her then-husband were evicted from their home, and along with their baby and young son were homeless living out of their car for several months. Cori led protests in Ferguson in 2014, following the police killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown. She is committed to fighting against inequality, poverty, and insecurity by pushing for a bold progressive agenda which includes Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, Immigration Reform, Public Safety, Education and Housing for All, among others. Common Defense is proud to endorse Cori Bush for Congress!
