We are the largest grassroots membership organization of progressive veterans standing up for our communities against the rising tide of racism, hate, and violence.
In order to champion an equitable and representative democracy, where “liberty and justice” truly is for all – We vow to organize together against those who seek to divide us so they can rig our systems and economy for their own gain.

Our Commitment to Equity
We are committed to organizing a multi-racial, multi-generational, inclusive movement that empowers all veterans – a movement that fully represents the diversity of our veteran community. We know it is absolutely necessary that we proactively work to counter inequity within the spaces we create if we are serious about countering the systemic injustices of our broken political system. Achieving this goal is a task that demands continuous effort and attention, and we are fully committed to doing the work.
Veterans Organizing Institute (VOI) participants practice challenging their elected representatives using various tactics.
Organizing means taking our democracy into our own hands – not leaving politics and policy to the politicians.
The Veterans Organizing Institute (VOI) is a nonpartisan, progressive training program, where we teach cohorts of 30-40 veterans from around the country the skills to be grassroots organizers within their community.
