Rep. Bost is backing a proposal that would make VA home loans more expensive than ever, adding up to $9,400 in new fees for veterans trying to buy or refinance homes in our communities.

At a time when housing costs are already sky-high, this plan would price countless veterans out of homeownership and make it harder for them to build stable lives for their families. Veterans earned these benefits through their service. We should not be forced to pay more just to balance the budget.
