The VA Disability Rating Rule Is Still on the Books. Demand Full Withdrawal

Doug Collins announced the VA is “halting enforcement” of its disability rating rule — the one that threatened to slash benefits for veterans whose conditions are managed by medication. Veterans forced him to blink. But he didn’t withdraw the rule — he only hit pause. That means it’s still on the books, ready to snap back the moment they think we’ve stopped paying attention.

Collins says the VA “does not agree with the way this rule has been characterized.” Translation: he still thinks he was right. He just doesn’t want the heat. A paused rule can be un-paused. Only a full withdrawal protects veterans’ earned benefits, and we need your help to get it done.

Sign your name to demand:

  • Full withdrawal of the rule — not a halt, not a pause, but complete rescission.
  • A public commitment that the VA will never penalize veterans for managing their conditions with medication.
  • Accountability for how this rule was developed without adequate veteran input.

We forced them to blink. Now we need to force them to back down completely. Add your name and tell Secretary Collins: no half measures.
