Rockmart, GA — Common Defense, the nation’s largest grassroots veterans organization, is proud to endorse Shawn Harris in the April 7 runoff for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. Shawn Harris, who retired as a Brigadier General after more than 30 years of service in the Marine Corps and Army, finished first in the March 10 special election and is now one race away from Congress. Common Defense is proud to stand with Shawn, shoulder to shoulder, as veterans do.
His values reflect our own. As Trump wages an unconstitutional war, guts the VA, and chips away at the rights our members swore to defend, we need leaders with the backbone and moral authority to hold the line. Shawn Harris is exactly that leader.
