No Funding for Forever Wars — Take the Pledge
As a voter, I pledge to withhold my vote from any candidate for federal office — regardless of party — who votes for or supports supplemental funding for the unauthorized and illegal U.S. war in Iran. Congress alone has the power to authorize war. Any member who supports funding for this war without demanding accountability owns its consequences. My vote is not guaranteed. It is earned.
This Is Where We Draw the Line
In February, Donald Trump dragged this country into an unauthorized war with Iran with no congressional vote, no debate, and no legal authority.
Since then, 13 American service members have been killed, and hundreds more wounded. Nearly 1,500 Iranian civilians have been killed, including over 200 children. The Secretary of Defense declared “no quarter, no mercy” — language the Pentagon’s own manuals call a war crime.
Now the administration is coming to Congress for supplemental funding to keep this war going. They want a blank check to continue what they started illegally.
We’ve seen this playbook before. They start the war without permission, then dare Congress to “defund the troops.” It worked in Iraq. It worked in Afghanistan. We cannot let it happen again.
As veterans, military families, and allies, we are drawing a line.
Sign the pledge: you will not vote for any candidate — in any party — who votes for or supports supplemental funding for Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran.
Political candidates of every party need to know that funding this war has consequences at the ballot box. This is how we stop Forever Wars — not with thoughts and prayers, but with power.
