Camille Breaux (She/Her)

Camille Breaux is the Georgia Organizer for Common Defense. She served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired honorably in July 2021. Her tours include serving onboard SHIPPINGPORT ARDM-4, USS OBRIEN, USS CARL VINSON, Navy Recruiter Chicago, and Executive Administrator at multiple Flag Staff commands, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington D.C. She earned numerous service and meritorious medals, awards, and recognitions throughout her military career. Her background brings vast skill sets, experience, and perspective. She is committed to racial and social justice and believes in the African principal of Sankofa, who believes that we must look to the past to understand the present and build a future. She is married with three young children and lives outside Memphis, TN. Through her own experiences of racism, sexism, birthing rights issues, and mental health in the military, she gained a passion for advocating for others whose voices and experiences continue to go unheard.
