End The Forever War

Opposing unjust war is baked into our DNA at Common Defense. That’s why in 2019 we launched our End the Forever War campaign to finally bring America’s longest war, the Afghanistan War, to a long overdue close. Through dozens of lobby visits with veterans from all across the country, direct advocacy, and our EFW Pledge — which garnered commitments from more than XX Congressional members and a majority of 2020 Presidential candidates — we built the political will to end America’s 20 year war. Now we are continuing to advocate for a just and people-centered foreign policy, the repeal of the overbroad 1991 and 2002 AUMFs, and so much more.
