Graham Platner

Graham Platner is a proud Mainer, Afghanistan veteran, and small-business owner who has continued to serve his community long after hanging up the uniform. After serving in both the Marine Corps and the Army, Graham returned home to Maine and built a life rooted in hard work, community, and stewardship as an oyster farmer on the state’s coast. His life and career reflect the same sense of duty, resilience, and commitment to others that veterans carry with them long after their service ends.

Graham understands what real leadership looks like because he has lived it. From his time in uniform to his work supporting Maine’s coastal economy and working families, he has remained focused on making sure communities have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. He believes Washington should work for everyday people, not political insiders, and he is committed to bringing a fresh, grounded perspective to public service.

As a veteran, Graham also knows that the VA represents a promise this country made to those who served. He believes that the promise must be honored by fully staffing and funding VA care, stopping the outsourcing that drains resources from the system, and ensuring veterans receive the timely mental health care, housing support, and job-training services they have earned. Graham Platner’s leadership is grounded in service, accountability, and standing up for working families — the kind of leadership Mainers deserve.
