VETERANS ENDORSE KAMALA HARRIS FOR THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Washington DC — Common Defense, the nation's largest grassroots veterans organization, is proud to endorse Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for the 2024 Presidential election.
In a time when the defense of democracy is paramount, Kamala Harris has consistently demonstrated a relentless commitment to upholding our democratic values and ensuring that every vote counts. Her intelligence and unwavering conviction make her the leader we need to protect our rights and freedoms.
"Kamala Harris embodies the spirit of a true defender of democracy," said Jose Vasquez, Common Defense Executive Director and US Army Veteran. "Her dedication to reproductive rights and her fierce stance against the extremist Supreme Court show her commitment to protecting not just women's autonomy but the health and well-being of families across the nation. We proudly stand with a candidate who prioritizes justice and equity."
Harris's track record as a public servant mirrors the values held dear by veterans. Her career is marked by standing up to powerful interests and demonstrating the same dedication to public service that drives our members. Veterans admire her ability to maintain strength and grace under pressure, which sets her apart as a candidate uniquely equipped to hold Donald Trump accountable for his criminality and corruption.
Common Defense recognizes that true leadership understands the need for change. Throughout her career as a public servant, Vice President Harris has displayed the ability to listen to impacted communities and then work to correct policies that hamstrung progress.

In addition to her domestic policy strengths, Harris's approach to foreign policy is intelligent, principled, and ethical. She is committed to keeping the United States safe without being drawn into unnecessary conflicts, and unlike Trump, she will never be a puppet for dictators.
