Common Defense Endorses Slate of Ohio Candidates To Represent Veterans and Military Families

Washington, D.C. — Today, Common Defense, a grassroots organization of veterans and military families, announced its endorsement of Sherrod Brown for the U.S. Senate in Ohio and Kristina Knickerbocker for Congress in Ohio’s 10th congressional district.

Naveed Shah, U.S. Army veteran and Political Director at Common Defense, released the following statement:

“Common Defense is proud to endorse Sherrod Brown for the U.S. Senate and Kristina Knickerbocker for Congress in Ohio’s 10th congressional district. Veterans and military families deserve leaders who understand the importance of service and will fight to make life better for the people they represent. Sherrod has built his career fighting for veterans and working people, including demanding answers from the VA following concerns about the quality of care veterans received. Meanwhile, as an Air Force major and nurse at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Kristina led teams to improve medical care for service members and veterans, and we are confident that she’ll bring that same commitment to making healthcare work better for Ohioans in Congress. Both bring a record of service and dedication to ensuring veterans and military families get the care and support they deserve, which is why Common Defense is proudly standing behind them.”
